JOHANNESBURG - We're in for a comfortable summer this year.

Well, that's the promise from Eskom, at least.

The utility gave its outlook for the season after over five months without scheduled blackouts.

But, they could return if breakdowns exceed planned levels of 15,000 kilowatts.

Eskom has also seen better financial performance and reduced diesel spending.

And, it's planning to ask for a whopping 44 percent tariff increase.
