JOHANNESBURG - Eskom has been losing at least R30-billion a year due to zero buyers or people who connect electricity illegally.
That's according to Electricity Minister Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa.
Speaking in a media briefing in Cape Town earlier, Ramokgopa says Eskom will not be able to fulfill its obligations should this continue.
The power utility has extended the prepaid electricity meters upgrading process to 13 December.
We discuss this with energy and power expert, Professor Vally Padayachee.
