It provides a framework for the setting up of the National Transmission Company as Eskom is unbundled into three different entities.

This will establish a Transmission System Operator that will create a platform for electricity to be bought and sold.

Essentially opening up the space for many players to feed electricity into the national grid.

To discuss this further the Chair of the Portfolio Committee on Mineral Resources and Energy, Sahlulele Luzipo spoke to the eNCA.
