Discussion | Equipping deaf youth with employable tech skills

JOHANNESBURG - September marks the International Month for Deaf People with 23 declared by the UN as international day of sign languages.

It's a time dedicated to promoting awareness of the rights of Deaf individuals and those hard of hearing highlighting the challenges faced by over four million South Africans.

Minister of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, Sindisiwe Chikunga has called on the country to take meaningful steps toward inclusivity by learning the South African Sign Language.
