JOHANNESBURG - Eskom has attached the bank accounts of the embattled Emfuleni Municipality in a move to recoup R8bn in debt.
The municipality, which has been under administration since 2018, has failed to comply with the National Treasury’s debt relief programme.

It is among the top three municipalities that owe Eskom, contributing 10 percent of its R82bn debt.
