JOHANNESBURG - There is growing concern over the illicit alcohol trade as the holiday season kicks in.

The Drinks Federation of South Africa says the trend is not only a threat to the economy but poses a health risk to consumers as well.
Toxic substances have been found to have been used in the manufacturing of illegal alcohol.
