JOHANNESBURG - Tensions have escalated between Rwanda and South Africa over the conflict in the eastern DRC.
Rwandan President Paul Kagame has accused Pretoria of spreading lies after President Cyril Ramaphosa said Rwanda is backing the M23 rebels.

Thirteen South African soldiers have been killed in heightened violence in the eastern parts of the DRC.
"It's either they will do a study approach or try to seek a ceasefire and peace talks, said Wits Business School lecturer Patrick Kadima.
