DURBAN - Forestry, Fisheries and Environment minister, Dion George has been slapped with a lawsuit.
Two environmental justice groups want the court to set aside the decision allowing eight of Eskom's power stations to operate with limited pollution controls.
The groups are groundWork Trust and Earthlife Africa.
The decision was upheld during the then minister Barbara Creecy's time in office.
