Discussion | Concerns over low medicine supplies in KZN

NEWCASTLE, KZN - Concerns are being raised about a severe medication shortage in KwaZulu Natal. And opposition parties accuse health officials of deceiving the public by denying this.

Parliament's Health portfolio committee conducted an oversight visit at various facilities in November last year, and flagged these shortages.

Dr Imran Keeka who is the Health Portfolio Committee Chairperson in KwaZulu Natal says some patients are even reusing syringes and some hospitals are operating without adrenalin which is very important for a number of operations.
