Discussion | Concerns over firm appointed to produce new driver’s licence cards

JOHANNESBURG - A new service provider to produce the country's new smart driving license cards has been appointed.

But this has not gone down well with the Automobile Association and the Organisation Udoing Tax Abuse.

Airports Company SA recently terminated a contract with the very same company, over alleged wrongdoing.

The AA says the value of the contract, the time-frames for the roll-out of the new smart cards,
and the reasons why they were selected need to be made public.
