JOHANNESBURG - Freedom Under Law, the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation, Judges Matter and Defend Our Democracy are concerned about the revelations around Justice and Constitutional Development Minister Thembi Simelane.
Simelane received a loan of more than half a million Rand from a company that brokered unlawful investment into VBS Mutual Bank.

At the time she was the mayor of Polokwane Municipality, and the city invested around R350 million in VBS bank.
The organisations have called on Simelane to account fully for her involvement in the incident.
