CAPE TOWN - Homelessness is an attack on social inclusion, dignity and the right to life.

To guarantee access to safe and adequate housing, the City of Cape Town has opened a new safe space shelter in Durbanville.

Cape Town Mayor Georgin Hill-Lewis has said the city will spend over R220m to expand shelters over the next three years.

    Hill-Lewis spoke to eNCA.
