JOHANNESBURG - Traditionalists are calling for Ancestor's Day to be recognised as a public holiday.
The suggestion to add this day on our calendar began in 2021 and so far efforts have not yielded any positive results.

The Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa has collaborated with communities,
and cultural custodians to have 8 May celebrated as Ancestor's Day.
