Delegates to pray for revival in Africa

JOHANNESBURG - Two renowned Prayer Mountains will host a Spiritual gathering in Germiston which will carry on into Human Rights weekend.

This event is a call for repentance, healing, and revival in South Africa.

Speaking on the significance of this prayer Bishop Jimmy Mwando says churches have a role to play in improving the lives of the people.

'When people come together in prayer we can pray to lift the living standard of our people. [So] that our people may not be oppressed by poverty, lack and disease,' he said.

Meanwhile Former Joburg Mayor Dr Mpho Phalatse said the prayer gathering comes at a time when the country face challenges from instability but also change in government.

'We are going to be praying for godly governance, stability in government, strategy, solution to resolve complex challenges from infrastructure backlog, funding deficit,' she said.

Agreeing with both Mwando and Phalaste, Reverend Jonathan Naicker said prayer changes things and it is something that can unite people.

'Our trust that weekend is that we can come together as the church and as a nation so that things change,' he said.
