Day in solidarity with Palestine | Political parties, NGOs march in Joburg

JOHANNESBURG - Today is the International Day of Solidarity with the People of Palestine.

In Johannesburg, a march is taking place, supporting Palestinians in Gaza.

Political parties, various NGOs and unions have been gathering at the Mary Fitzgerald Square.

That's as hopes of a truce extension grow in the Middle-East.

The seven-week long Israel-Palestine conflict has claimed thousands of lives so far.
