JOHANNESBURG - The Walter Sisulu Municipality in the Eastern Cape admits its promise to build a state-of-the-art stadium has fallen flat.
Over R15m was set aside to renovate a sporting facility in Burgersdorp.
The Danie Craven Stadium was earmarked for completion in 2017.
Five years later, the community’s anger grows as the stadium lies in ruin.
The municipality has promised to redeem itself by fixing up the venue.
