DA leader expected to meet with President Ramaphosa

CAPE TOWN - DA leader John Steenhuisen to meet with President Cyril Ramaphosa on Wednesday.

This is to address tensions that escalated this weekend regarding the government of national unity.

Steenhuisen maintains that the DA is committed to the power-sharing arrangement to stimulate economic growth.

This despite pressing issues like the National Health Insurance (NHI) and the Expropriation of Land Bill remain contentious.

He criticizes Ramaphosa for neglecting to consult GNU partners.

The stability of the GNU is crucial, as any collapse could destabilise both the political landscape and the economy, significantly affecting investor confidence, the Rand, and South Africa’s economic prospects.
