Mass shootings in the Eastern Cape gave this province one of the highest multiple murder rates in the country.

In the Western Cape, residents live in fear for their lives in Delft, 17 people were killed in just two weeks two months ago there, and 19 councillors were assassinated in KZN during this local government term.

Professor Jacob Mofokeng, a security expert from the Tshwane University of Technology discussed this with eNCA's Dan Moyane.
