Crime in SA | State of policing and crime intelligence

JOHANNESBURG - There’s been concern about crime intelligence being caught napping when it comes to security risks.

The country is battling kidnapping syndicates, construction mafia and protection mobs.

Joburg mayor Dada Morero proposed recruiting immigrants to fight crime.

He said this would increase crime intelligence capability within the JMPD.

Morero withdrew the proposal and apologised after widespread outrage.
