PRETORIA - Police minister, Bheki Cele, says KwaZulu-Natal is a trusted supplier of hitmen in South Africa.
Cele was in Soweto on Saturday, meeting with izinduna from hostels around Johannesburg. He says the collaboration with leaders of the hostel community, is crucial in efforts to fight crime.
It sounds like police know where most hitmen are in South Africa. Some people learn to become professional killers at men’s hostels in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.
It is alleged that in most cases hitmen have handlers who pay them for the jobs they carry out.
How difficult would it be to apprehend them and develop strong cases to keep them behind bars?
