Crime in SA | Gun violence remains high in SA

JOHANNESBURG - The murder rate has decreased marginally by just half-a-percent.

But it remains high, with three people killed every hour in the country with the weapon of choice being a gun.

We have also seen illegal firearms seized during almost every police shootout.

In the latest incident, weapons were found after police killed four alleged extortionists in Milnerton in Cape Town.
