DURBAN - The KwaZulu-Natal Transport Department has warned taxi operators from taking the law into their own hands as they face stiff competition from e-hailing services.

There have also been incidents of minibus drivers preventing passengers from boarding e-hailing vehicles in Gauteng.

Some commuters even claim taxi operators are preventing them from using carpools and lift clubs.
