Cost of living crisis | Mitigating impact of international crude prices

JOHANNESBURG - Fuel prices are a sore topic for many South Africans, partly because there are so many of the hidden costs that add to what you end up paying for a litre of fuel.

But what role can Parliament's Energy portfolio committee play in mitigating rising fuel costs?

Can we review two big taxes?  

That's the General Fuel Levy and the Road Accident Fund levy, which at the moment account for R6.13 on every litre of petrol and diesel sold.
