CAPE TOWN - Conservationists are stressing the negative impact of tree bark stripping on the ecosystem within Table Mountain National Park in the Western Cape.
It’s one of the New Seven Wonders of the world, falling within the Cape Floral Kingdom that’s home to thousands of trees and plants found nowhere else in the world.
Part of an oversight visit by SANParks officials this week has shed light on tree barking in the Newlands Forest area.
