Climate change | The green connection slams govt's plan for state-owned petroleum company

JOHANNESBURG - The Green Connection says they are disappointed that government is pushing for another fossil fuel driven company while the world battles a major climate change crisis.

It comes after the Mineral Resources and Energy Department published a draft bill on South African National Petroleum Companies for public comment.

The draft follows the passing of the Upstream Petroleum Development Bill by the National Assembly which is with the National Council of Provinces for concurrence.
