CAPE TOWN - Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis has announced the insourcing of security services.
The city is hoping this will break the extortion rings and ensure safer working conditions for municipal staff.
This is contained in the Cape Town budget for the next financial year.
There's also a strong emphasis on electricity tariff reforms.
Cape Town mayor, Geordin Hill-Lewis says the city recieved a huge investment budget, amounting to R40 billion over the next 3 years to help with the issues faced by the city.
