JOHANNESBURG - The DA is disowning and rejecting the 2025 budget.
Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana proposed two VAT increases of half a percentage point over two years.
Now, it's up to Parliament to approve the budget.
But, with the DA, EFF and MK Party all rejecting the proposals, it has little chance of passing in its current form.
