Blitzboks going for gold in Paris

PARIS - The Blitzboks will kick things off for Team SA at the Olympics as the Rugby Sevens tournament begins on Wednesday.

First up for the 2016 bronze medallists is Ireland at 5.30pm, with New Zealand their second opponents in Pool A on Wednesday evening. 

There have been doubts about the Springbok Sevens' chances of medalling at the Games given their disappointing World Rugby Sevens Series campaign and failure to qualify for the Olympics automatically.
