JOHANNESBURG - The ANC in the North West is hosting its provincial January 8 rally, marking the party's 113th anniversary.
In recent times, the province has faced leadership challenges stemming from factional interests within the party.
The ANC is also commemorating the life of its first President John Langalibalele Dube.
The 79th Commemoration is taking place at the Ohlange Institute in Inanda.
The political activist, educator and newspaper man was born in February 1871 and died in February 1946.
