PRETORIA - Earlier this month, amaZulu King Misizulu kaZwelithini called for the Ingonyama Trust to be managed by his chiefs.
During his first press conference as the newly-appointed prime minister, Thulasizwe Buthelezi, explained the king's position.
The trust administers almost 3-million hectares of land in KwaZulu-Natal.
In response to this and other issues, the Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development department met with King Misizulu.
Minister Thoko Didiza was in attendance. She spoke to the eNCA about her department's engagement with the King.
