Alize van der Merwe kidnapping accused in court

PORT ST JOHNS - The three people arrested for kidnapping Alize van der Merwe and a Chinese woman are appearing in the Port St Johns magistrate's court in the Eastern Cape.

Van der Merwe was kidnapped on 20 September and the other victim three days before her.

Both women were dropped off at the Sulenkama Police Station last week.

The kidnappers demanded ransom, but it was never paid.
