250,000 blinded in SA by treatable cataracts

JOHANNESBURG - Seeing is believing but the Right to Sight Trust says far too many are still going blind from a preventable condition. 

The organisation says 250,000 South Africans are blind due to cataracts.

This is despite cost-effective ways to treat the condition.

We discuss this further with Ophthalmologist Ingrid Walters.
