JOHANNESBURG - UCT Online School is under fire for poor year-end results.
Parents also say they institution provides little support for pupils.
Private assessment company, the SA Comprehensive Assessment Institute, is also being blamed.
Parents say end-year marks are not consistent with performance throughout the year.
But, UCT denies the allegations, saying its pupils achieved 500 distinctions with one pupil placing in the Top 3 nationwide.
Leilani Maharaj says her daughter's final grade was 30 percent lower than her performance through the year.
That's led to her not being able to get into university despite obtaining provisional acceptance.
Maharaj is now demanding answers.
