Marking the start of 16 days of activism, survivors of gender-based-violence are demanding that government strengthen the laws against perpetrators. Civil society organisations, together with Life-Line, took to the streets of Cape Town, headed for Parliament to hand-deliver their list of demands. They want the process of DNA testing to be fast-tracked and sexual assault cases involving children to be prioritised.
