JOHANNESBURG - As the ANC gears up to celebrate its 113th birthday, expelled former ANC president and now leader of the MK party, Jacob Zuma, has taken legal action against his former party.
Zuma is accusing the ANC of illegally terminating his party membership.
In a letter to ANC Secretary-General, Fikile Mbalula, Zuma’s legal team has demanded that the ANC reverse its expulsion decision by the end of this month.
The dispute is centered around Zuma's endorsement of the MK party, which played a significant role in weakening the ANC in the recent elections.
Zuma was a member of the ANC for over 60 years.
