HARARE - Just months after Zimbabwe's general elections, by-elections are underway countrywide.
This after self-styled opposition secretary-general Sengezo Tshabangu wrote to government and parliament seeking the expulsion of the Harare mayor, his deputy and 60 opposition municipal councillors countrywide.
The opposition says this is a scheme by Zanu-PF to destroy the Nelson Chamisa-led Citizens Coalition for Change movement.

But Zanu-PF has distanced itself from Tshabangu, saying they have nothing to do with CCC infighting.
Parliamentary by-elections will be held on 9 December to fill up positions created after Tshabangu's mass expulsions.
