HARARE - Zimbabwean police have cracked down on a religious cult on the outskirts of Harare.
The leader, self-named Prophet Ishmael, was arrested and 251 children were rescued.
The minors were being used as forced labour on the church's farmland.
Ishmael Chokurongerwa and his seven lieutenants appeared in court on charges of violating children's rights.
Police say they're are still investigating the case and more charges could be brought against Chokurongerwa and his accomplices.
The bail ruling is expected on Tuesday.
