JOHANNESBURG - A total of 130 South African soldiers are being evacuated from Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
They're among the troops wounded in the battle for Goma and Sake last month.
eNCA sources confirm that the troops are accompanied by medical crews on a road trip to Rwanda.
From there, they'll be flown home within the next two days.
Four of the wounded troops need critical care and 58 of the wounded require special check-ups and scans.
14 SANDF members died in eastern DRC during combat.
They were trying to defend Goma from falling into the hands of the Congo River Alliance rebels, which included the M23.
