JOHANNESBURG - William Nicol drive is officially changing to Winnie Mandela drive.
This comes after the City Council approved the renaming of the road in honor of the late struggle stalwart.
City of Johannesburg Mayor Kabelo Gwamanda is set to officiate the unveiling ceremony.
Motorists are urged to consider alternative routes as the road will be closed around the Sandton area.
William Nicol Drive is one of the busiest roads in Joburg, stretching from Sandton all the way to Diepsloot.
