PRETORIA - SAPU is demanding an investigation into the escape of an alleged kingpin of an illegal mining operation in Stilfontien.
Spokesperson Lesiba Thobakgale says once investigations are done they would reveal who is to blame for the escape so that the law can take its course.

Lesotho national James Neo Tshoaeli, known as Tiger, reportedly escaped from shaft 11 last week.
Reports indicate that Tshoaeli was never booked into any of the police stations where other illegal miners were held, nor was he hospitalised.
