CAPE TOWN - There are calls for a panel report on Stellenbosch University’s Wilgenhof residence to be set aside.
An extraordinary council meeting discussed developments around the Wilgenhof men’s residence.
Chancellor Edwin Cameron has submitted an affidavit.
In it, he alleges that Rector and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wim de Villiers, and Council Chair Nicky Newton-King altered a report compiled by a panel.
The report was a result of a probe that looked into the residence after items linked to initiation practices were found there earlier this year.
