WATCH | Service delivery failures in Ekurhuleni

JOHANNESBURG - The Ekurhuleni Municipality administration acknowledges that service delivery continues to suffer due to vacancies in its political leadership.

The Metro does not have a Mayor and a Mayoral Committee following the removal of Sivuyile Ngodwana through a no-confidence motion.

Extraordinary meeting to elect new Ekurhuleni mayor postponed

The city says it's unable to undergo IDP processes without the political executive. 

The speaker's office is expected to announce a date for the Mayoral vote following the postponement of a council sitting on Wednesday.
