JOHANNESBURG -Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi recently took to social media suggesting "one country, one Matric examination".

These suggestions have sparked debate on the future of our education system.

Lesufi says there should be uniformity and equal opportunity to receive quality education regardless of race and class.

The Gauteng Premier also believes inclusive education will decrease the dropout rate.

On Thursday, the Independent Examinations Board said it's all about how the standards are set.

At the same time, private and public school children are finding out how they fared in the 2023 matric exams over 18-19 January.
