WATCH | PA welcomes Adetshina's Miss SA withdrawal

JOHANNESBURG - The  Patriotic Alliance has confirmed they will drop their court bid against Miss SA hopeful, Chidimma Adetshina.

However, the party's lawyers will now demand action against her mother.

The party had launched legal action against Adetshina to prevent her from participating in the Miss SA pageant.

Adetshina has since withdrawn from the pageant after the Department of Home Affairs found evidence of fraud against her mother who has Mozambican roots.

According to Home Affairs Adetshina's mother may have committed fraud and 'identity theft' in obtaining her South African citizenship.

The department says it's considering legal action after it concludes investigations.
