WATCH | Motsoaledi unpacks multibillion-rand medico-legal fraud

JOHANNESBURG - Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi has briefed the media on the ongoing investigation into multi-billion-rand medico-legal claims.

He's revealed shocking fraudulent claims in all provinces, especially in Gauteng and the Eastern Cape. 

The Health Department has bled a staggering R7bn in medico-legal claims countrywide.

An SIU probe into fraudulent claims has saved the department more than R3-billion.  

Motsoaledi said the investigation continues and can be expected to unearth more dodgy claims.
