TZANEEN, Limpopo - Tito Mboweni’s rise to the highest echelons of leadership came as no surprise to those he grew up with and those who taught him in school.

The late former Governor of the Reserve Bank and cabinet Minister was described as a brilliant pupil, always among the top achievers in his class.
