WATCH | Jacob Zuma pushes for discipline in the MK Party

JOHANNESBURG - Umkhonto WeSizwe Party has announced its top leadership comprising of 8 members. 

The 'high command' will be the MK's highest decision-making body, led by former President Jacob Zuma. 

Former EFF deputy president and co-founder Floyd Shivambu has been announced as National Organiser for the MK Party.

Other notable members of the high command include former Western Cape Judge president, John Hlope who'll be Zuma's deputy, and former Public Works Minister Nathi Nhleko who'll be the party's National Chairperson.

During his speech, Zuma emphasised the need for discipline and genuine leadership within the party And also highlighted a commitment to establish a party that commands respect from South Africans.

The MKP announced its top leadership on Thursday.
