JOHANNESBURG - Petrol stations have long been touted as a safe haven for uncertain or fearful motorists in the face of crimes on the road.
But now they're becoming an easy target for hijackers.
Earlier this month, Kaizer Chiefs defender Luke Fleurs was fatally shot during a hijacking at a service station in Florida, Johannesburg.

With an uptick in the number of incidents, experts say motorists need to be vigilant when filling up.
