JOHANNESBURG - There is growing concern over incidents of food poisoning involving children across the country.
In October, six pupils died in Naledi, Soweto allegedly after consuming poisonous snacks
bought from foreign-owned local spaza shops.
Earlier, 46 pupils were rushed to a Bloemfontein hospital with suspected food poisoning.
The Gauteng education department has since suspended the sale of food in and around school premises.
However, it seems there is more to this problem than meets the eye.
