PRETORIA - Ben la Grange, the former chief financial officer from beleaguered Steinhoff – has been sentenced to an effective 5 years in prison after he entered a plea and sentence agreement with the state.
It's for one count of fraud of over R367m, emanating from the manipulation of financial statements and failure to report fraudulent activities.
La Grange is the second person to be convicted in the Steinhoff saga.
